September's Book of the Month is The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver. A sweeping novel with an original voice, this book takes us back in time to the Mexican Revolution and brings us forward to the fearful days leading up to the McCarthy communists hunts. It won the 2010 Orange Prize for Fiction due to it being a book of "breathtaking scale and shattering moments of poignancy".
